What is the subject of a sentence?
It is that part of the sentence about which something is divulged.
What is the complete subject?

What are compounds?
Compounds are multiple simple subjects combined into a compound subject by using and, or, ornor.
Compounds can also be multiple simple predicates combined into a compound predicate by using and, or, but, yet, or nor
What are complements?
the complement is the part of the predicate that completes verb (he keeps what?)
