What are the origins of medical language?
Many medical terms are Greek / Latin in origin because of Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, studied both languages. Medicinal study was advanced in both Greece and Rome, so knowledge of both contributed

What are the 4 ways to form Greek Plurals?
- -is → -ides “ih-deez” (ex: iris → irides
- -nx → -nges (ex: phalanx → phalanges)

What is the Medical Record?
the documentation of all care provided to a patient, containing diagnoses, treatments, surgeries, and preventative care. it is also a legal document.
What are the advantages to an Electronic Medical Record?
- accessible by multiple people at once
- cannot be lost or damaged because of backups
- immediate retrieval
