What are the 11 organ systems in the body?
Skeletal, Integument, muscular, endocrine, nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, lymphatic, digestive, urinary and the male/female reproductive system.
Describe the anatomic position
standing up right, feet parallel to the floor, head level and looking forward, arms at side of body, palms facing forward and thumbs pointing away from the body.
Describe the difference between the directional terms posterior and anterior
posterior is towards the back surface and anterior is towards the front surface.
List the anatomic term that describes each of the following body regions: forearm, wrist, chest, armpit, thigh and foot.
forearm = antebrachial wrist = corpal chest = thoracic armpit = axillary thigh = femoral foot = pes
What organs can be found in posterior and anterior body cavities?
Posterior cavities: cranial and vertebral
anterior/ventral: thoracic and abdominopelvic.
