Label
A brand of commercial recordings, usually issued under a trademark name; a record manufacturer-distributer
Promoters
The person and/or organization responsible for generating fan interest and ensuring successful turnout at tour destinations.
Lawyers

Record Label
The company that coordinates the production, manufacture, distribution, marketing and promotion, and enforcement of copyright protection of sound recordings and music videos; maintains contracts with recording artists and their managers; and manages brands and trademarks associated with the marketing of music recordings and music videos. Also called a record company or recording company.
Streaming
The delivery of media to an end-user in a way that allows the end-user to start playing the file before the entire file has been transmitted. The name refers neither to the type of file nor to the medium, but to the delivery method.

market
A particular group of buyers (or a type of audience) that can be identified by demographic research and/or analyses of preferences; geographically distinct region.
licensing
The awarding of rights to perform, reproduce, distribute, or transmit a copy-righted work.
catalog
A complete list of songs (or other goods) available for sale or licensing.
DIY
Do-it-yourself. Recording industry: A label in which one person (or very few persons performs most functions.
big box
A store of substantial size, usually a part of a chain, that achieves economies of scale by focusing on large sales volumes, resulting in very competitively priced goods.
channels
The frequency of transmission for a broadcaster.
A program service feeding programming to one or more stations, cable systems, satellite services or Web sites.
A mode of product distribution —— e.g., rack jobber channel
guilds
An association of professional persons with similar interests (sometimes used synonymously with trade union).
