Co-culture
Term used to convey concept of interdependent and equal subcultures within a society

Heroes
Real or imaginary persons who serve as a behavior model within a culture
Myths
Stories and images representing a cultures values handed down from generation to generation as a guide for living
Race
Biologically defined as groups who share some hereditary physical characteristics; socio-historical he defined by unstable social meanings constantly being transformed by debate
Reference group
Group to which one aspires to attain membership
Ritual
A socially essential collective activity within a culture
Subculture
Group within a larger society that shares distinctive cultural characteristics to distinguish it from others
