Interpersonal- communicate our ideas, thoughts, and feelings to another person

- Psychological
- emotional= biases
-perceptual= experience
selectivity= flow of information - Semantic- choice of words
- Language- dialects, accents, slangs, jargons
- Physical- noise disruption, physical surroundings,
environment - Cultural- different cultural background, beliefs and values.

Communication flow in groups

- Formal- computerised information system (data)
- Informal- conversations (hanging out)

Leadership roles
A
- Autocratic- directs and controls all activities without involving any parties when making decisions.
- Paternalistic- employees are listened to, but the leader always make the final decision
- Democratic- the leader serves as a mediator and facilitator, they involve everyone when making their final decision
- Laissez-faire- very little guidance and provide complete freedom for their employees to make decisions.
