CNS Oxygen Toxicity during Treatment.
First Symptom non-convulsive.
- Off O2, breathe chamber air.
2. Fifteen minutes after all symptoms have subsided, resume oxygen breathing at the point of interruption.
CNS Oxygen Toxicity during Treatment.
Second Symptom or Convulsion
- Off O2, breathe chamber air.
- After all symptoms have subsided, patient is fully relaxed and breathing normally.
Decompress 10 feet at 1 foot per minute.
- Resume oxygen breathing at point of interruption.
If another symptom occurs. Contact a DMO for modifications to the treatment schedule.
Pulmonary Oxygen Toxicity.
- Off O2, breathe chamber air.
2. Contact DMO. recommend changing the Air breaks from 5 minutes to 10 minutes.
Loss of Oxygen During Treatment.
Repair can be completed within 15 minutes.
- Maintain depth until repair is completed.
2. Resume treatment at point of interruption.
Loss of Oxygen During Treatment.
Repair completed after 15 minutes but before 2 hours.
- Maintain depth until repair is completed.
- After O2 is restored: if original table was a 5, 6, or 6A. complete treatment with maximum extensions.
If on a 4,7 or 8 no compensation is needed.
Loss of Oxygen During Treatment.
Permanent loss.
- Switch to a comparable air table at the current depth for decompression if 60 fsw or shallower. Rate of ascent must not exceed 1 foot per minute.
- Use TT1A if pain is relieved less than 66 feet.
Use TT2A if pain is relieved deeper than 66 feet.
Use TT3 for serious symptoms.
- If symptoms worsen and an increase of depth deeper than 60 fsw is needed use Treatment Table 4.
