What is urbanisation?
The general trend of people moving to towns and cities, compared to rural areas.
What is suburbanisation?
Increased amounts of people moving to the outskirts of a city - in the residential areas.
What is counter-urbanisation?
People moving away from the cities.
What is re-urbanisation?
A place that has a resurgence in people moving there after experiencing counter-urbanisation.

- CBD (central business district)

- Outer Suburbs

How could a railway, for example, affect this land use?
A railway would attract a lot more factories, causing the inner city section to run along side it.
What are the characteristics of the CBD?

- High population
- Most people living in multistory buildings

- Lower population density than CBD and Inner City
