What is the purpose of the Acquisition process?
To obtain a product or service in accordance with the acquirer’s requirements.
What is the purpose of the Supply process?
To provide an acquirer with a product or service that meets agreed requirements.
How are Agreement processes defined?
The activities necessary to establish an agreement between two organizations.
When is it possible to define the parameters of an acquisition and supply relationship?
Once a need is perceived and resources are committed to establish a project.
Give 3 examples of acceptance criteria that could be established between parties in an agreement process.
1) percent completion of the SyRS;
2) requirements stability and growth measures;
3) Percent completion of each contract requirements document (SOW, RFP…).
Why are acceptance criteria important to define?
To protect the acquirer from being coerced into accepting a product with poor quality and the supplier from the unpredictable actions of a fickle or indecisive buyer.
