what are the two broad category of Organizational environment
Internal environment, and external environments
Define what an Organizational Environment
The set of forces and conditions that can affect the way an organization operates
What is the meaning of Opportunities in Management?
Opening for managers to enhance revenues or open markets. EX. New tech, markets or innovation.
What is the meaning of Threats in Management
Issues that can harm an organization. Examples recessions, political unrest or oil shortages.
What are stakeholders, in management?
The people, groups and institutions that are affected by internal and external environments.
What are examples forces of the Task Environment
Distributors, Suppliers, Customers, and Competitors, (Also potential competitors could be considered)
What are examples of key forces in the General environment,
Socio-cultural forces, Technological forces, International/global threats, Political threats and , Economic threats
Define distributors task environment
Organizations that help others to sell goods or services to customers.
Define suppliers task environment
People or companies who provide input resources ( raw materials, labour)
Define customers task environment
Individuals and groups that buy the goods and services in an organization produces.
Define Competitors in a task environment
Organizations that produces goods or services tat are similar to a particular organization’s
Define Political and legal forces in the General Environment
Outcomes of changes in laws and regulations,
EX, law changes increased regulations, Environmental protection. Employment safety
Define Economic forces in the General Environment
include interest rate changes, unemployment rates, economic growth, and other forces that affect that national economy, the general health and well-being of the national organization
Define the Socio-cultural forces in the General Environment
Pressures coming from the social structure of a country or society or from the national culture.
EX Social Structure, and National Culture.
What are some factors and trends that affect the Supervisor
Population growth,
Changing age patterns, Women in the work forces and related issues. and opportunities for women and minorities
