Q

earthquake

A

earthquakes are sudden vibrations and tremors in the earths crust. when plates collide or slide past each other, there can be a build up of pressure along the fault line. when this pressure is released, it results in an earthquake. The point underneath the surface where the earthquake is the strongest is called the focus. Directly above the focus is the epicentre. Aftershocks are tremors after the earthquake.
