CH 7 Intro to the Sinus Rhythms Flashcards
the rhythm that occurs when the SA node has generated an impulse that followed the normal pathway of the electrical conduction system and led to atrial and ventricular depolarization
Normal Sinus Rhythm
rhythms are classified according to the heart structure or structures in which they begin
Site of Origin
In this rhythm, the SA node discharges impulse at a rate of less than 60 BPM
Sinus Bradycardia
A variant of normal sinus rhythm; the rate is generally considered to be 100 to 160 BPM
Sinus Tachycardia
An irregular rhythm produced when the P-to-P intervals and R-to-R intervals change with respirations
Sinus Dysrhythmia
When the sinus node fail to discharge, the absence of a PQRST interval is noted on the rhythm strip
Sinus Arrest Rhythm
