An 18yo Thoroughbred mare has had chronic diarrhea for 3mo. She is a mellow and laid-back mare. Her appetite seems poor and she has had significant weight loss. PE reveals a pale tongue, weak pulse and low Shen. She appears emaciated. Her stool is loose w/o odor or blood. Historically, she has had intermittent bouts of watery diarrhea. Dietary changes have not improved the diarrhea.
