An attempt to persuade clients or customers to purchase the product or service
What is a proposal?
It motivates action and commitment to ideas or behaviors
What are briefings?
Short structured informative overviews of highly specific or technical information
What are team presentations? What are the two types?
They may be persuasive or informative and they are different in some respects from the kinds of speeches you make as an individual, symposium & panel discussion
What is a symposium?
Public presentation in which several people deliver short planned speeches about some topic
What is a panel discussion?
Public presentation in which a moderator manages interaction among panel members about a particular topic

The audience and the speaking environment
What is audience analysis?
Systematic gathering of information about your intended audience
What are experts?
People who through education training or experience have special knowledge about a particular subject
What is evidence?
It’s made up of facts and experts opinions
How can you build support for your ideas?
