The Columbian Exchange was the exchange of goods between Europe, Africa, and the Americas; it gave America slave, Europe spices, and Africa money.
What was the ecomienda system?
Settlers in the Americas could use Natives as laborers; the Natives suffered greatly
What caused Europeans to force millions of enslaved Africans to work in the Americas?
It was cheap labor and the rich Europeans didn’t want to do any work
What is mercantilism? What is exploitation?
Mercantilism is a system of money and trade; a country exports more than it imports
Exploitation is the action of treating someone unfairly in order to benefit from their labor
