What is OSHA, and what does it do?
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is a government agency that sets and enforces workplace safety standards. It can issue fines for non-compliance.
What is a workplace hazard?
Any condition that could harm an employee’s health or safety, either immediately or over time.
What are three general safety rules for a medical office?
- Walk, never run, in the office.
- Keep hallways and floors clear.
- Use handrails on stairs.
Why should food not be stored in a refrigerator with lab specimens?
To prevent contamination and exposure to harmful substances.
What does R.A.C.E. stand for in fire response?
• Rescue anyone in danger.
• Alert by calling 911.
• Confine the fire by closing doors.

What does P.A.S.S. stand for in using a fire extinguisher?
