CH 5 Computer Flight Plan Flashcards
Are PDA’s included in the aircraft flight plan fuel figures?
Yes
What does the fuel required in the body of the CFP include?
Proceed from waypoint to 1500ft above destination
Carry out IAP
Land with reserves intact
If alternate required: proceed to alternate with required reserves
What fuel figures are not included in the fuel required figures?
Contingency
ETP build up
Extra hold (THFA)
Tanker fuel
What are the fixed fuel reserves be calculated for an alternate?
30 minutes holding at 1500ft above the destination
What does the TTL Fuel endurance fuel not include?
Taxi fuel
On what types of flight plan will revised ZFW information not be given?
DDP operations
PNR DP operation
Tankering sector
Flight planed with extra holding fuel
What altitude are ETPs calculated at?
10,000ft
What is the “ETP” (fuel), “EXCESS” and “REQD” fuel in the ETP block?
ETP: fuel required to fly from ETP to either enroute alternates (incl reserves)
EXCESS: Total endurance fuel minus REQD
REQD: Fuel from departure to ETP and then complete the ETP
Will tanker fuel be considered in the ETP excess?
No
The ETP are not actually equipped time points. What are they? What might be observed?
Equi fuel points
The EET from ETP to diversion alternates may not be equal
The alternate summary FUEL differs from MIN RES, how?
FUEL: B-C at CI0, 0% contingency, plus visual app and LDG with PDA applied
MIN RES: includes 30 min reserves and any holding fuel which was included in the original alternate
What is the new ETP formula used in ATPL flight planning? Why?
X=DO÷(O+H)
Gives position relative to the destination, as we have no info about the off route alternate
