What are the two components to an ambulance inspection?

Where are the minimal straps located on the patient-carrying device?
Chest level

Which patients must be secured to the patient-carrying device before transfer to the ambulance?
ALL
How should a patient be positioned in the ambulance?
Depends on the nature of illness/injury
What should you do when transporting if a possibility of CPR exists?
Position a short spine board under neath the mattress prior to starting the transport.
How often do you reassess vital signs?
Every 5 min - UNSTABLE
Every 15 min - STABLE
