Artisan
a person skilled at a specialized trade or craft
Bias
to favor or oppose someone or something because of certain characteristics, especially in an unfair manner
Cash Crop
a crop grown for the purpose of selling it rather than consuming it
Discrimination
the unjust judgment or mistreatment of a person or people due to race, sex, religion, nationality, or other characteristic
Domestics
enslaved people who worked in the household
Foundation
the base upon which something is built
Indentured
a person who is bound to work for another for a specified period of time
Plantation
a large farm, usually in a warm climate, on which many workers, servants, or enslaved people live and work
Prejudice
dislike or distrust of people just because they are of another race or religion, or from another country
Slave Trade
the capturing, transporting, selling, and buying of human beings as slaves
Stereotype
a common and oversimplified idea or opinion regarding a group of people
Agriculture
the science or practice of cultivating soil, producing crops, and raising livestock; farming

passed on or transmitted from parent to child
