Separatists
Pilgrims who no longer belonged to the Church of England.
Democracy

Document giving investors permission to establish a colony. an official document in which certain rights are given by a government to a person or business

A share in the ownership and profits of a company
Cash Crop
A crop grown for the purpose of selling it rather than consuming it.
Theocracy
A government run by religious leaders and religious laws.

Forced to leave.
Tolerance
Showing acceptance or understanding to people with different characteristics or beliefs
Diversity
Having elements from many different peoples, places, or cultures all together
Specialization
Focusing on efficiently producing a limited number of goods and services
Artisan
A person skilled at a specialized trade or craft.
Plantations
A large farm, usually in a warm climate, on which many workers, servants, or enslaved people live and work
Agriculture
The science or practice of cultivating soil, producing crops, and raising livestock; farming
Regulation
A law or rule that controls or supervises certain activities
Rural
Of or relating to the countryside and the people who live there
