MMPI = psychiatric stuff
CPI = general personality chracteristics
IPI = assessing if u actually aply law
Polygraph = before employment
post employment = mental health checks
Use of Force Training and Cog Load Theory probs
intrinsic cog load = its jsut generally really hard to process all the info given to trainees
extraneuous cog load = way too much info that requires lotta demand for the trainee to remmeber
germane cog load = traineees need appropriate schemas
2 Criminial Profiling technqieues
Deductive = looking at crime itself and what a typical perp wud do this typical crime
Inductive = loking at patterns of this behaviour and comparing how other perps wud do this crime but also thinking of the current perp
FBI investigation tech
similiar behaviour w similar motivation = similar perp
classify offense by looking at crime scene info
look at characteristics of offense circumstances
see if theres a crime “signature” like hannibal and the pieces of art
= all these will giv profile
