Attitude
Evaluative statements or thoughts made toward an object, person or situation.
Causes of Job Satisfaction
- Correlated with life satisfaction

Criteria of Job attitudes and how you feel about your job situation:
- Job satisfaction: Are you happy with your job>?
- Job involvement: How you consider performance important to self worth
- Psychological empowerment: Belief to which you affect your work, your meaningfulness of your job.
- Organizational commitment: How you connect with the organizations goals.
- Perceived organizational support: Degree to which employees believe an organization values them.
Employee Engagement
An individuals involvement with, satisfaction with, and enthusiasm for the work they do.
Global rating approach:(Measuring satisfaction)
-Very general, usually ask to rate between 1-10.
Summation of Job Facets:(Measuring Satisfaction)
More in depth survey, includes more categories.
Commitment:
an employee identifies with the company and has a desire to continue with them.
Engagement:
The employees satisfaction, involvement, and enthusiasm for the work they do.
Emotions
Short term directed at someone/something.
Caused by a specific event or person, shown through facial expressions
Moods
Long term, usually less intense and more ambiguous, cognitive in nature, causes unclear
