Role of the Senate

A

REVIEW LAWS: amend/reject any proposed law.
REPRESENTATIVE GOVT: each State elects equal no. of Senators = equal representation amongst States.
SCRUTINISE GOVT: responsibility for supervising laws, protecting the rights of the citizen, present conflicting views in debate.
