what was The Plant Study about?
P’s from nursing home were assigned to two groups.
- first group were asked to remember a time where they had a sense of control in their life but asked in a way that made them feel like they were in control
- the second group had the same question but it was asked in a way where they did not feel like they were in control
- they were given a plant to take care of themselves or given a plant where the nurse will take care of it for them
