Major complications in 6 dogs (11.3%), fatal in 4.
15% mortality when performed laparoscopically, 3% when performed as an open procedure. (Not significant)

Conclusion: The added value afforded by pre-operative treatment is questioned. With appropriate management, adrenal tumours can be removed with few peri-operative complications and low mortality

Complication - ventricular tachycardia after aspiration in a dog with a confirmed phaeochromocytoma. If look at only dogs with phaeochromocytomas - complication rate 10%
