Single engine waveoff/missed approach boldface
- Power - Maximum allowable
- Propeller Lever - Full Forward
- Pitch - Establish positive rate of climb (7 to 10 up)
- Airspeed - Vxse or Vyse
- Gear - UP
- Flaps - UP
Abnormal start procedure boldface
- Condition Lever - FUEL CUTOFF (Note ITT Decrease)
- ENGINE START switch - OFF
In the event of hot or hung start: - ENGINE START switch - STARTER ONLY (for the remainder of the 40 seconds)
An emergency engine shutdown shall be performed at AC discretion or when:
Runaway torque in flight (unresponsive power movement) Engine fire in flight Engine failure in flight Leaking oil/fuel CHIP DET light illuminates Oil pressure low
When to execute abnormal start procedure
ITT likely to exceed 1000 C
No rise in ITT within 10 seconds of condition lever to LOW IDLE
CHIP DET illuminates
N1 does not accelerate to low idle normally
Abort criteria
A critical malfunction before Vr such as:
Fire light
Chip light
Other malfunction as briefed
Minimum recommended speeds single engine
Clean - 140 KIAS
Appch - 130 KIAS
Down - Landing assured
Vxse airspeed and configuration
115 KIAS
