Causes of Black Death
1.) Little ice age caused famine and less farming

Outbreak of plague(mostly bubonic type) in the mid-fourteenth century that killed 25 to 50% of Europe’s Population

Leaders of band of mercenary soldiers in Renaissance Italy who sold services to highest bidder.
Great Schism
Divided Christianity, creating Western Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. Two then three popes ruled church
Conciliarism
Europe decided that final authority was decided by general church council and not only the pope.
Mysticism
The immediate experience oneness with God.
