What are the EIGHT steps of the scientific method?

A
  1. Make observations
  2. Gather information
  3. Form a hypothesis
  4. Experimental design
  5. Perform experiment (Collect data)

Q

What is the purpose of experimental research?

A
  1. CAUSE AND EFFECT: Enable us to investigate the manipulation of the variables
  2. CONTROL OF VARIABLES: Enables isolation and observance of variable that has been selected as key (IV/ DV)
  3. REPLICATION of study enables our confidence if the same/simular results are compiled after repaeating the same study

The Charecteristics of a hypothesis?

A
  • Begins with
  • “It was hypothesised that…”*
  • That

Q

Hypothesis: What is its purpose?

A
    • Acts a basis to compare two OR more variables on
  • -Compares behaviours in different CONDITIONS either natural ot created or controlled by reasearchers
  • Evidence and research can either be
