- index and middle finger of other hand on chin beneath lower lip

physician stands behind patient and applies axial compression in neutral
+: pain down arm in nerve root distribution
- indicates cervical radiculopathy
spurling’s maneuver
1: compress head in neutral
2: compress head in extension
3. side bend away from affected side and then towards affected side and add compression
oculocephalogyric reflex
- pt engages RB with eye motion and holds 3-5s
- patient closes eyes (relaxes)
- physician further engages RB using head and neck
