What is it?
A
Earwax
Accumulated within the canal can become impacted and lead to conductive hearing loss

What are the clinical features?
A
Use of cotton buds, hearing aids, earplugs
Hearing loss is most common complaint
Feeling of fullness in ears, earache, tinnitus
Can see accumulation of earwax which can be adherent to tympanic membrane

What is the management?
A
Softening of wax
- sodium bicarbonate 5% olive oil QDS for 5 days
Consider ear irrigation or microsuction if continues
