A
The point at which the mass of an object can be thought to be concentrated.
It lies directly below the point of suspension.

How do you find the centre of mass of an asymmetrical flat object?
A
Plumb line method.
Suspend the shape and plumb line from the same point
When they stop moving mark a line along the plumb line.
Repeat with the shape suspended from a a different point
The point at which the lines meet is the centre of mass.

What causes an object to topple?
A
If the line of action falls outside the base there will be a resultant moment and the object will topple.
