Is comprised of the brain and spinal-cord. It is responsible for transmitting neural messages to, and receiving neural messages from the peripheral Nervous System

The brain is the control centre for the body, allowing the body to respond to information from within and outside the body. It is responsible for initiating and processing actions, thoughts and behaviour

A
A long cable of nerve tissue (neurons) connecting the brain to the peripheral N.S, it is responsible for sending motor information from the brain, and sensory information from the body
