Cells, Tissue, Organ and oragne system Flashcards
Cells
In biology, the smallest unit that can perform al life processes.
Stem cell
Unspecialized cells that are able to develop into many different types of cells.
Cell Differentitaion
The process where cells become different types of cells.
Tissue
A group of similar cells that perform a common fuction.
Organ
A colection of tissues that carry out a specialized fuction of the body.
organism
A living thing
Homeostais
Steady internal coniditions when external conditions change.
Exeretory System
Removes Solid liquid and gas waste materials from the body.
Respiratory system
Exchanges gases between the body and the envirorment.
Curculatory System
It transports rgases, nutrients, waste, and other substances throughtout the body.
Lymphatic System
Removes excess fluid from around organs, producess white blood cells, and absorbs and transport fats.
Immunity
The resistances to specific pathorgens or disease- causing agents.
skeletal system
Protects internal organs, provides support, help the body move, and stores materals.
Museular system
Helps the body move.
Nervous system
A group of organs and specialized cells that detect process and respond to information.
