Smallest cell about 4 microns. Located in the cerebellum l.
Anterior horn cell
Located in spinal cord. Is the largest cell. 135 microns
Pseudo unipolar cell
“False pole cell” has an entrance and exit in two opposite directions. That’s why it’s called a false pole. Because usually one pole means one way. Longest cell. Varies in length depending on persons height.
Squamous cell
Example?
Simple layered cell that is flat.
Example is a capillary. Smallest blood vessel
Cuboidal cell
Example?
Simple layered cell where the height equals the width (square shaped)
Example- lines ducts from salivary glands
Columnar cell
Example?
A simple layered cell where the length is greater the height.
Example- digestive tract
