What changes take place to facillite movement of cells of immune system from blood stream to tissues ?
A
Vasodilatation- causes changes in laminar flow- mediated by histamine
Margination- due to change in laminar flow- mediated by adhesion molecules - cells adhere to endothelium
Emigration- change in vascular permeability- mediated by histamine & bradykinins- allows movement of fluid & cells from vessels to tissues
Chemotaxis- attracts cells to site where needed- mediated by complement components leukotrienes & cytokines
