What is the function of the CELL MEMBRANE?
It controls what GETS IN or OUT of the cell. It is a phospholipid BILAYER with embedded proteins.
What is the function of the NUCLEUS?
It CONTAINS and STORES DNA. It also contains CHROMATIN and NUCLEOLUS
What is the function of the RIBOSOMES?
It is the site of PROTEIN SYNTHESIS
What is the function of the MITOCHONDRIA?
It is in charge of the CELLULAR RESPIRATION. it is the POWERHOUSE of the cell.
What is the difference of the ROUGH Endoplasmic Reticulum and the SMOOTH Endoplasmic Reticulum?
The Rough ER has ribosomes while the Smooth ER does not.
What is the function of the GOLGI APPARATUS?
It COLLECTS, SORTS, PACKS and DISTRIBUTE proteins and lipids
What is the function of the LYSOSOMES?
It contains DIGESTIVE ENZYMES
What is the function of the VACUOLE?
It stores WATER, PIGMENTS, and TOXINS
What is the function of the CHOLOROPLASTS?
It is in charge of PHOTOSYNTHESIS
