Cell Cycle ch 6 Flashcards
1
Q
The Cell Cycle Checkpoints
A
Checkpoints are the control mechanisms of the cell cycle; they verify and monitor whether the process at each phase of the cell cycle have been accurately completed.
G1 - checks for cell size, nutrients, growth factors, DNA damage
G2 - checks for cell size, DNA replication, DNA damage
Metaphase - checks spindle attachment to chromosomes
