A celestial body is a general name for an object that is in Space.

What is a meteor?
A meteor is a solid object from outer Space that enters the Earth’s atmosphere.
What is an asteroid?
An asteroid is a rocky celestial body greater than 1 m, smaller than a planet, which orbits the Sun.
What is a comet?
A comet is a ball of frozen gases, ice, rock and dust with a highly elliptical orbit. ‘Highly elliptic’ means their orbit looks more like an oval than a circle.
What is a planet?
A planet is any object that orbits a star, is large enough to form a rough sphere under its own gravity, and has cleared its orbit.
