What is fascism?
When the government controls all aspects of people’s lives, and there’s one party and one leader. No opposition or protests are tolerated.
How did the economic depression in Germany affect Hitler’s popularity?
Hitler had come in and was able to increase the number of votes for himself and the Nazi party by using the economic depression to his advantage.
What happened during the worldwide economic depression?
European economies were unstable, the boom in the U.S. helped sustain worldwide trade, and people turned to powerful leaders and government for hope.
Why did Japan invade Manchuria?
For raw materials and space. This also turned Japan into a major military power.
Who else did Japan fight with?
China and the Soviet Union.
How did Hitler use communism to come into power?
He exploited people’s fear of it to come into power.
