People bought too much on credit, and when they got unemployed and couldn’t pay their installments, their stuff got taken away. Houses,goods,stocks.
Buying to much on credit
Europeans put high traffis on their imports to protect their industries, decreasing internionally
High traffis hurt international trade
Canada relied too much on the USA for trade and investment and when they got hit with depression, they didn’t need Canada’s products anymore
Dependance on the USA
Canada dependent on products like wheat, fish, minerals, pulp, and paper, and when the demand for these products drop the economy suffered. This also affected the chain industries of these products.
