A condition in which the presence of abnormality causes loss of normal structure and function and consequently affects health.

A
- Hypoxia (oxygen deficiency)
- Chemical agents (eg. poisons, tobacco, alcohol)
- Infectious Agents (bacteria, virus, fungi, parasites)
- Genetic defects ( congenital malformations/ single base mutations causing functional deficiency or protein mis-folding).
- Nutritional Imbalance (deficiency/excess)
- Physical agents (mechanical trauma, thermal injury)
