alternating or bilateral pain in legs
saddle anaesthesia
loss of anal tone on PR
Bladder +/- bowel incontinence

If you suspect cauda equina syndrome in a patient what should you do?

A

This is a neurosirgical emergancy and so should be reffered promptly.
May need decompression
