Red cup
Contrast needed for ballon inflation. Use 50/50 ratio with heprinized saline. Otherwise contrast has low viscosity ans sticky. Heprinized saline allows quicker balloon deflation. Generally there is a small bottle of hep in the cabinet and the larger bottle is used to inject for xray
blue cup
nitroglycerin 100 mc g/ml.
Nitro is a vasodilator and cause blood pressure to go down.
We want about 10cc on tray.
Some Nitro comes in 100mc g/ml and some in 200mc g/ml. If 200mc g/ml then dilute 50% to be able to draw out for 1 cc to achieve 100mc g/ml. For interventional want about 10cc on our tray.
Some doctors give 200 to 300 mc g/ml at a time
