Q

Describe the steps to complete an artificial genetic screen

A
  1. Decide which process you want to investigate
  2. Choose a model organism e.g. yeast, worm, zebrafish, drosophila
  3. Mutate genes
  4. See if the process still works
  5. If not, identify the mutated genes
  6. Can reintroduce wt gene to see if rescue event occurs
