Conditions:
- 1000 to 1500 mm annual rainfall
- Temp above 6 
=> Grass grows well
Farming:
- Corriedales are raised and bred. They give a good quantity and quality of both meat and wool. Total pop = 6804
- Lambs are born in the hills and after 6 months, are brought to lower land where grass is richer 
- Cattle kept here = Herefords (cows, bulls, calves). Total = 1384. Are sold in october to save cost of feeding them through winter
Income 
- From sheep: 89500 NZ 
- From wool: 75 600
- Cattle: 204 000
Costs:
- Shearing: 11 500
- Animal health: 21 000
- Fertiliser: 40 000
