Brazil is the seventh biggest economy in the world and the leading economic power in Latin America. It is an emerging country and experience a rise in GDP between 2007 and 2014 $4874-$5823 (19%)

- Portugal also acts as a gateway to the eu for comic migrants from Brazil.
- Migrant remittances are also very important to many families.
