A
- reliance on self report methods like interviews so prone to inaccurate recall and social desirability bias
- cannot generalise findings from one unique individual to wider population
- unique to one person so cannot replicate and test reliability
- researcher bias, they decide what to include and exclude, loose ability to think objectively as theyve been working closely with a person for a long time
