Diagnose and tx PL 1-5 SP tenderpoint counterstrain
PL1-5 SP inferolateral aspect
Stand contralateral
e-E adduction RA torso and RT pelvis
basically, stick a finger on TP and pick up leg and hold for 90s (EST PAIN SCALE!!)
Dx and tx PL1-5 TP tenderpoint with counterstrain
On each transverse process
stand on CL side or same side
E Sa RA torso and RT pelvis
basically, just stick a finger on TP and pic up ASIS (or use knee for leverage)
How to diagnose a sacral dysfunction?
(bilateral F)
Forward bending negative
Motion testing inhalation restriction
negative backward bending test
sulcus deep anteriorly bilaterally
ILA post/inf bilaterally
obliques are negative
Treat a bilateral flexed sacrum
pt prone
monitor SI joint and ABduct legs
IR legs
MET-with heel of hand apply anteiror superior force to egnage RB
have pt breath deeply and encourage anterior superior motion during inhalation and resist during exhalation
reassess
Teach a piriformis stretch
lie down
pull leg over one side toward the other
