What is CAS?
Pediatric disorder in which precision and consistency are affected due to lacking neuromotor ability
How is CAS different from the adult version?
Unlike the adult version, CAS is normally not linked with any neurotrauma, but researchers are not comfortable categorizing it as “organic” or “unknown
What are developmental delays seen in this group?
Oral motor: immature lower lip and tongue pattern
Prelinguistic: little babbling
Linguistic: continued reduplication, consonant harmony, and final consonant deletion
