Answer 1

Carousels without mechanical advantage cannot reach 5 m/s as this is above the normal running speed of a child.

Carousels type B that include a stationary central hand-wheel shall be constructed to avoid any entrapment, e.g. the central column and the hand wheel shall be fully enclosed without any protruding parts.
